HVAC Senior Lead Technician

Location: Strategically Located to Major US Airport for Travel

The ideal Senior Technician I candidate should have 10+ years as a service or installation technician in the commercial HVAC-R world (industrial work is a plus). The Bluon Senior Technician will be leading a team of Bluon Technical Experts conducting on-site product installations with local contractors, hands-on training on complex systems, building retrofit packages such as control panels, providing installation and servicing assistance on Bluon’s in-house test chambers, as well as many other day-to-day activities to ultimately deliver the best service and support to HVAC contractors and End-users regarding the installation of Bluon TdX 20 [R-458A] into existing HVAC units.

Responsibilities

  • Perform HVAC-R manual labor while leading Bluon in-field installations
  • Perform HVAC-R manual labor while leading in-field training opportunities with other Bluon Technical experts and contractors
  • Work with the Bluon technical services team in building retrofit packages for use in the field, working on Bluon’s in-house test chamber, and conducting performance/experimental tests
  • Lead group trainings for contractors and technicians on how to best use Bluon refrigerants and Bluon’s support ecosystem
  • Provide real time tech support for Bluon accredited technicians in the field
  • Establish & maintain relationships with Bluon team members including Sales, Executives, and Tech Leads as well as building engineers, local HVAC contractors and others as needed
  • Support Sales: Communicate potential sales opportunities to the sales staff
  • Work directly with the Bluon sales team in gaining new contractor clients
  • Interact with clients as needed regarding project status or technical information
  • Demonstrate professionalism in appearance, verbal, and written communication
  • Adhere to Bluon safety policies and OSHA guidelines, wear required protective equipment and complete jobsite hazard assessments

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in Service and Repair in Commercial HVAC-R
  • Problem solving mentality with an innovative approach to system challenges
  • Deep knowledge of various types + configurations of Large Commercial RTU’s and split systems
  • Operating knowledge of Microsoft Office software and working proficiency with handheld computers (i.e. Smartphone, iPad)
  • Computer literacy and ability to readily work with Bluon’s CRM software
  • Ability to travel to field installations and training throughout the USA

HVAC Technician

Location: Anywhere in the US

The ideal Technician candidate should have 10+ years’ experience as a service technician in the HVAC-R world. This position will be working with a team of badass Bluon Techs conducting remote support as well as on-site support and trainings. You’ll be joining our mission to provide a new level of support, information, and tools for technicians across the industry. Responsibilities

  • Perform HVAC-R manual labor during onsite technician support opportunities
  • Take and document 20+ calls/day with technicians across the country helping them troubleshoot and solve issues during their day to day service work
  • Take and document 20+ calls/day with technicians joining the community to welcome and “onboard them”
  • Support and potentially lead trainings for contractors on how to best use Bluon refrigerants & Bluon’s platform
  • Work directly with the Bluon sales team in gaining new contractor clients.
  • Interact with clients as needed regarding project status or technical information.
  • Demonstrate professionalism in appearance, verbal, and written communication.
  • Establish & maintain relationships with Bluon team members including Sales, Executives, and Tech Leads as well as building engineers, local HVAC contractors and others as needed.
  • Generate educational content to feed the Bluon Support Platform and social media
  • Work on Bluon’s in-house test chamber, and conduct performance/experimental tests.
  • Adhere to Bluon safety policies and OSHA guidelines, wear required protective equipment and complete jobsite hazard assessments.
  • Provide exceptional, memorable, and remarkable support for all technicians on the platform
  • If skills align, help populate Bluon’s unit and parts database

Qualifications

  • Must love spending time talking on the phone with other techs.
  • Must be VERY patient and have a strong desire to teach and help other techs
  • 15+ years of experience in the HVAC-R Industry
  • In-depth knowledge in either commercial and/or residential work
  • Past experience as an instructor or mentor for new techs (not necessary, but major bonus!)
  • Computer literacy and ability to readily work with Bluon’s systems and CRM software (Hubspot)
  • Strong communication skills and detail oriented

HVAC Support Technician (Part Time)

Location: Anywhere in the US

Amazing opportunity for well-seasoned HVAC Technicians who enjoy problem solving in real time while helping to train and support fellow techs in the trade. The ideal HVAC Support Technician has 15+ years of experience as a service technician and genuinely enjoys problem solving with other techs. In this position you will field HVAC tech support calls from a wide varietry of HVAC service techs within Bluon’s vast community. This is an excellent position for experienced techs looking to share their years of wisdom with the next generation of techs!

Responsibilities

  • Take tech support calls with HVAC technicians across the county - helping them troubleshoot and problem solve during their day-to-day service work.
  • Document each call including its topic, caller and overall outcome into the company CRM system.
  • Patiently help diagnose issues and walk technicians through potential solutions.
  • Provide a very positive, can do attitude while being extremely patient with techs of varying degrees of experience.
  • Provide exceptional, effective technical support for all technicians on the platform.
  • Build rapport with the the Bluon Community by going the extra mile and empathizing with the technician.
  • Help create trainings and documentation for frequently asked questions on the support calls.
  • Communicate as effectively as possible via phone for every support call.
  • Positively interact with any HVAC professional who might be calling in for support – students, seasoned techs, instructors & building engineers
